We combine the best of both worlds. With us you stay comfortably like in a hotel with made-up beds, locally produced breakfast, body care products, your own kitchen and bathroom and cleaning - while at the same time you get the personal feeling of a family-run bed & breakfast.

We offer four different family-friendly accommodations of varying size and character: Gårdshus Övre, Gårdshus Nedre are two separate apartments. The Villa is a room in a private part of our residence, and Gamla Tryckeriet is a separate house. See all accommodations.
Our accommodations are suitable for between 4 and 6 people depending on which accommodation you choose.
Three of our four accommodations have fully equipped kitchens. The fourth, the Villa, has a refrigerator, microwave and kettle.
Yes, all accommodations have their own shower and toilet.
All of our accommodations are adapted for families with children. Which one is best depends mainly on the family size and wishes.

We created the accommodation we ourselves want to go to as a family. Villa Vimmerby is a very child-friendly accommodation with toys to borrow and rooms adapted for children. We have toys, games, books, dress-up clothes and a garden adapted for play. But Villa Vimmerby is also a quiet and relaxing place for those of you who are traveling without children.
Yes, we offer a crib (ordered when booking a room), high chairs and junior chairs are available. We also have baby monitors so that you adults can relax in the garden after the night.
Absolutely! Play is important to us and it continues here after today's activities in Vimmerby. In our garden there is, among other things, a "don't-hit-the-ground" course, sandbox, play kiosk, outdoor games and cuddly rabbits. Inside all our accommodations there are dress-up clothes, games and an Astrid Lindgren library with great stories to read together. We have chosen not to have a TV in our accommodations to give more space for socializing, playing and spending time together. The experience with us

Yes, our locally produced breakfast is always included in your stay. It is a breakfast with simple and delicious flavors that will suit both young and old.Breakfast is served in a breakfast basket that can be enjoyed in the room, in the garden or taken on an excursion. The picnic basket contains freshly baked rolls from Guldkringlan, butter from Löt farm, Lida farm cheese from Räven och Osten, Mariannelund ham, yogurt with locally picked berries. The delicious yogurt comes from Sjundekvills farm dairy. Freshly churned honey from Målilla, granola, eggs from Älö farm, apple juice from Misterhult and milk. Coffee, tea and cocoa are available in the room. (As we use smaller, local food producers, the ingredients may temporarily vary.)

No, unfortunately we do not accept pets as we want to be able to offer allergy-friendly accommodation for all guests.
Since our houses are older, there are some limitations. Please contact us and we will help you find the accommodation that suits you best. One of our accommodations has a ceiling height of 2 m, which may be good to know for our taller guests. Read more about our accommodations.
Astrid Lindgrens Värld och Vimmerby
It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Villa Vimmerby to Astrid Lindgren's World. Accommodation near Astrid Lindgren's World.
You can park your car on the street outside with a parking disc or park for free 100 meters from the hotel. Many of our guests choose to walk to Astrid Lindgren's World instead of driving, as during high season it is faster to walk than to take the car down.
In addition to Astrid Lindgren's World, there are many wonderful nature experiences, swimming spots, attractions, restaurants and excursion destinations for the whole family.
